Amazing Paper Plate Crafts for Kids


It's amazing what you can craft with paper plates. Here are five incredible crafts made from the ordinary paper plate for your cute kids.

PAPER PLATE HATS   

Make an adorable hat for your kid by using a sturdy plate and bowl.  Paint the hat with any color and add ribbons and silk flowers.  

You will need:
  • a sturdy paper plate
  • a sturdy paper bowl
  • paint
  • ribbon
  • fake flowers
  • glue

Steps: First turn the plate and bowl upside down. Put the bowl on the plate and trace the circle. Cut inside the circle, this makes it so that your hat is actually wearable. Next, glue the bowl to the plate. Then, paint the plate and bowl with any color. Finally, once the hat is dry, decorate it with ribbon and the flowers. Paper plate hat is ready!


PAPER PLATE MASK 
  
Let your child's imagination run wild with these fun masks.  Anything goes, animal, birds, alien etc.   

You will need:
  • Paper plates
  • Crayons/markers/pencil
  • Scissors
  • Elastic thread 

Steps: First draw the eyes, nose, mouth on the plate. If your kids are too little to use the scissors, help them to cut off eyes holes , nose and a mouth. Then paint this with crayons or markers based on kids fun and creativity. Let dry. Put two holes on each side and tie the holes with an elastic thread.


PAPER PLATE CROWN AND MATCHING PURSE 

The perfect craft for a princess party!  The added doily is absolutely adorable to your cute princess.

You will need:
  • paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Hole Punch (use a punch smaller than your ribbon size).
  • Embellishments (paint, glitter, stickers, etc.)

Steps : Cut the paper plate in half with the scissors. Embellish the back of the paper plate halves with paint, glitter, stickers, etc. Let dry. Then join the two halves, embellished sides out. Holding the two halves together, punch holes around the rounded rim. Thread the ribbon through the holes, making sure to tie off the ribbon at one end. Leave one hole at each end empty to tie on purse handles.
Tie ribbon to top holes on one side and string to other side -  Purse straps! Fill purse with pint sized goodies. 


PAPER PLATE FRISBEES    

This paper frisbee kids craft is perfect for your kids for an easy and inexpensive activity this summer.


What will need:
  • 2 paper plates for each frisbee
  • colorful markers or crayons
  • scissors
  • clear shipping tape

Steps : First decorate the upside of plates. Then place both plates together so that the decorated sides are facing out. Holding the plates together, and cut off the center portion of plates with scissors . Place both plates right side up and cover them with clear shipping tape.


HOLIDAY PAPER PLATE HATS
 
These simple little hats can be decorated by kids at a party, or used to play party games.


What will need:
  • paper
  • scissors

Steps : The first step here is to draw for any of the hat designs. Just fold the plate in half and cut the hole for the head. (remember to leave a little part where the center design is still attached to the brim.) Then you have to embellish it any way you like.
